UPSC | Union Public Service Commission is going to conduct the Civil Services Examination (Preliminary) 2012 on May 20, 2012 (Sunday) . The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has uploaded the UPSC 2012 e-Admission Certificate/ e-admit card/ admit card for the convenience of the candidates on its official website (http://www.upsc.gov.in.).
All the the candidates who are appearing in UPSC 2012 Examination (Preliminary) are advised to download their UPSC e-Admission Certificate/ admit card/ hall ticket and take a printout . Candidates will have to produce the printout of their UPSC e-Admission Certificate/ admit card/ hall ticket at the allotted venue for appearing in the UPSC 2012 examination. In case the candidate photograph is not visible or available on the UPSC e-Admission Certificate/ admit card/ hall ticket, candidates are advised to carry two (2) identical photographs (one photograph for each session) along with proof of Identity such as Identity Card or Voter Identity Card or Passport or Driving License and the printout of UPSC 2012 e-Admission Certificate/ admit card/ hall ticket at the venue of the UPSC Preliminary Examination.
UPSC | Union Public Service Commission will not issue hard copy of UPSC 2012 admit card/ hall ticket/ paper Admission Certificate for this examination.
All the candidates are advised to take a printout of the UPSC 2012 e-Admission Certificate/ admit card/ hall ticket (or the reasons/ grounds for rejection of application in respect of rejected applications) well in advance (by 16th of May, 2012) to avoid the last minute rush. In the past, cases have been noticed where some candidates have faced difficulty in accessing the server at the last minutes on account of server overload.

In case of any discrepancy, the same may be communicated to the UPSC | Union Public Service Commission immediately by email (email ID email@example.com) latest by 30th April, 2012 to enable the Commission to take a decision in the matter.
Candidates are also advised to bring Black Ball Point Pen to the UPSC examination hall on the day of examination.
Mobile Phones Banned
(a) Mobile Phones, Pagers or any other communication devices are not allowed inside the premises, where UPSC Examination is being conducted. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail disciplinary action against the concerned candidates including ban from future Examinations/Selection.
(b) Candidates are advised in their own interest not to bring any of the banned items including mobile phones/pagers to the venue of the examination, as arrangements for safekeeping cannot be assured.
